but this was closed as a duplicate of : https://drupal.org/node/1947438
but there is no mention of support for http://blog.jquery.com/2013/05/01/jquery-migrate-1-2-0-released/

I have so many jquery version conflicts, I'm ready to pull my hair out. would be great if we could get some diagnostics to help debug ...

Yep, would be useful.
sonicthoughts, you can use a patch from #1892282 to add jquery_migrate library to jQuery Update as I can see.
