Hello, and thank you for this fantastic module! It's my go-to for needing to play audio files on all my Drupal sites :)

I had a need to use this project on a Backdrop site just this week, so I took a stab at doing a backdrop version.

As a general rule, I like to offer maintainership of backdrop projects to the Drupal project maintainers. Not only do you know the code the best, but you certainly deserve the first-right-of-refusal, and should option of managing the project(s) however makes the most sense for you - should you choose to do so. I of course also understand that most Drupal module maintainers are already very busy, and you may not be interested.

However, If you decide that you are interested and want to participate, I am happy to facilitate however makes the most sense for you.

I'll look into this, however, I still haven't finished the D8 version. Not that either is a priority, it's just that I am a huge slacker.
