Another effective way to protect emails is to turn them into pictures as spy bots are not (yet) trying to OCR all images on a website, it must be very resource intensive for them, the technology already developed as captcha is changing letters into pictures.

I'm really not inclined to add image generation to this module. That's an ugly hack with lots of 3rd party dependencies. However, I am going to try and make the encoding scheme pluggable for Drupal 7 so it would be supportable as a 3rd party module.

The Drupal 5 and Drupal 6 versions of this module are now in feature-freeze, so there would be no backport.
