Inline Entity Form combination with Workflow module

Hi everyone

I'm experiencing some trouble with the combination of the Workflow module & Inline Entity Form. Let me explain the idea and what's going wrong:

Registered users are supposed to add 'artist' (node type) within adding an 'event'. As we like to have control on which artists got added to the website, there's a workflow on the type 'artist'. The users can search for the exististing artists with no problem, but when they add a new one within the inline entity form, there appears an empty item in the inline entity list, without a title. The node is actually created, but without any title. All other fields are filled in and the node is unpublished as should by workflow.

Anyone has a workaround / solution for this?
