1) Does this also happen if you disable the IMCE plugin, or even better yet, if you only enable Bold/Italic buttons?

2) Do you see any JavaScript error messages in Firefox's error console?

Sorry for late reply

It was working in ff yesterday for some reason, maybe i upgraded some other mods and it fixed it.
It's not working in firefox right now and i don't see any errors in ff, there's just a blank space where the editor should be.
I don't think i have the IMCE plugin

Later

EDIT

I managed to fix it, i didn't know what you meant by disable imce (still not sure how i'd disable imce)
But anyway, i noticed the imce plugin didnt exist untill i upgraded to the latest ckeditor tonight.
And that did the job, i thought,

But today it's gone again in firefox, rather anoying because firefox is faster for working with cms, for any task really.

Thanks

I found that I needed to restart Firefox.

We are having this problem too -- but it isn't solved by restarting Firefox for us.
In Firefox on a Mac, enabling the API Bridge disables the body field (it is just a blank space). It also disables the collapsible fields below the Body field, such as "Authoring Information" etc.... (so that the arrow disappears and they are not-clickable any more to open as options).

When I disable the API Bridge module, the Body field and the collapsible fields work fine.

Oddly, it will begin to work again, if enabled, and then just stop working, as the previous poster noted. Could it be a javascript error? This is all only in Firefox.

Running:
Firefox (3.x and 5.0) on Macintosh (Mac OS X 10.6.8)
Drupal 6.22
IMCE 6.x-2.2
CKEditor 6.x-1.2
IMCE Wysiwyg API bridge 6.x-1.1
Wysiwyg 6.x-2.4

Just had this happen. Disabling javascript aggregation in the configuration>performance menu fixed it for me, so signs point to some kind of javascript bug. I'm able to inspect the source, and the content is all there, but flagged as hidden in the CSS, but that might be something the CKeditor dev's wanted for their own reasons.

If it's a JavaScript error, then an error messages should appear in your browser's JavaScript error log when the issue has occurred. Please post such error message here.
