IMCE Directory not availale

Hello, new to drupal and I am receiving the following error inside of the imce module:

Directory . is not accessible.
Unable to get a working directory for the file browser!
Notice: Undefined index: perm in include() (line 14 of /var/www/garfieldrefining.com/sites/all/modules/contrib/imce/tpl/imce-file-list.tpl.php).

Has anyone found a fix to this? I checked where the file is going inside of the settings and it's going to the correct folder but the directory is unable to access it. This was working fine a couple of days ago and now it's down. It's also still currently pulling images to the site from previous uploads but just won't let me upload new images or access the library to select photos.
