Folder with %uid never matches?

IMCE gives the possibility to use "%uid" for defining users folder path, but in my case it seems that IMCE Private Files is not recognising the wildcard in the "passthrough mode". What about using something like a string replace in the "private files passthrough function" before creating the pattern?
This could be useful to define a private folder for each user.
