I've been using IMCE for a long time and never noticed this behaviour before so I wonder if it is a conflict with some other module.

When I resize a portrait image it rotates to landscape. How can I stop this or will I have to resize it before I upload it?

Actually what happens is that when I upload an image which is higher than it is wide, the result is a squashed image which is wider than it is high. What causes this? And how can I fix it?
