Project does not follow recommended workflow - Needs an initial 7.x-1.x branch

I've spent the day reading drupal.org on how to use the Issue queue, git, and dreditor to manage workflow. It's all so cool, I didn't realize this level of integration was there.

With this issue I am creating the initial 7.x-1.x branch.

From here on out all changes will be done using the Issue queue in coordination with git and local tracking branches for each Issue. Patches are to be the only accepted method of updating branch 7.x-1.x.

Feel free to leave a comment should you observe places I'm not doing this correctly.
