When I use meta tags in my email template for simplemail I get a large white space above my message. removing the meta tags makes this go away. I'm using the emogrifier post filter, although on or off it does not make any differance. I have looked over the docs, but haven't found anything. there is no conversion of line breaks happening in the post filtering section. just emogrifier. perhaps there is another way i'm supposed to be doing this that I have missed?

Well, without seeing the raw text of your emails it's impossible to say what is causing the white space and whether HTML Mail is the culprit or not. And since this issue is almost 7 years old, I'm guessing you either solved the problem or gave up long ago.

If you are still experiencing this problem please open a new issue with complete steps to reproduce the problem and also the raw contents of your email (called the "message source" in many email clients) including all headers.
