This PHP notice appears only with older (1.1.16 and earlier) versions of htmLawed. The library (not the module) was modified a while ago to address this. You can obtain the latest htmLawed library and replace the files within the htmLawed sub-folder of the htmLawed module (Drupal 6 or 7).
