Drupal 10, the latest version of the open-source digital experience platform with even more features, is here.I've been looking out for years and I've never found a single blog article or documentation about migrating sites from drupal 7 to 8
I know the process is unlike previous upgrades, but still, is it implemented? is it on the roadmap, or is it out of scope?
Is there a way to migrate from d7 to d8 without first creating a d8 site with the right profile and migration modules installed?
I have 500 sites and I need to know whether there will be tools to migrate them.
Is there any information out there on mass migration from d7 do d8

colanThere's nothing Aegir-specific about Drupal migrations so generally you just want to follow the Drupal docs.
However, if your sites are sharing the same codebase (running on the same Platform) and have similar types of data on them, you should be able to get by with only one migration plan. That is, when it works for one, it should work for all of them.
I'm not aware of any other Aegir shortcuts.
I would say it's out of scope until someone works on it, or provides funding.
I wouldn't recommend it.
