Check core version when migrating

I am running servers with mixed D8 and D7 sites. And when doing a migrate of a site in D8 with standard profile all D7 plattform are listed. But between D7 and D8 there is no migration patch.

So it would be nice if the list of available platform is limited to correct core versions.
