Hi,

I was wondering if there is an easy way to look for the database details? the only way I found so far it is accessing in SSH to the files here
/var/aegir/config/server_master/apache/vhost.d

Thanks,
Celia

The idea with Aegir is that most of the time you shouldn't need to care about the exact connection details, if you need to connect to the database, you can use drush (as the aegir user):

/var/aegir/drush/drush @www.example.com sql-cli

If you just want to know what they are, then use the drush status command:

/var/aegir/drush/drush @www.example.com status

Thanks, but I didn't find out how to find the password with your method.

The reason why I'm looking for this information, it is to give access to phpmyadmin to external developers. So they just access the DB of the Drupal install they are working on.

Ah righto, well it may well change as you migrate/clone your site, but it can be found in the drush rc file in your site specific folder, i.e.

/var/aegir/platforms/{platform}/sites/{www.example.com}/drushrc.php

Or as you said, in the apache vhost file.

Aegir has no further need to store the password, so doesn't.

You can also use:

drush @example.com sql-connect
