I've two content types with two different field related to the same vocabulary,
I would like to select for one field: Force the user to choose a term from a deepest level
and for the second field: Allow the user to choose a term from any level

But changing one automatically changes the other.

The codebase has moved a lot in the last 4 years. I can't reproduce this now.

If it is still an issue please reopen with steps to replicate the issue. Preferably starting from a clean install of D7 with the Standard profile.
