Hello,

i've bin trying to use the heartbeat module for 3 hours now but it doesn't seem to save any record.

since when i go to the view created by heartbeat it just shows: "Heartbeat Activity View page" with the RSS logo but no activities.

i've created content and started a user relationship with someone but i think heartbeat aint saving my records.

Early thanks,
Jelmar Maatman

if you just installed heartbeat, without configuring much, you should see a stream at /heartbeat/siteactivity (url path can be configured). Out of the box, heartbeat module is only an api and will not log activity by default. In the submodule heartbeat defaults there are templates and streams at hand to start with. Most of the time, that's all you need.

1) What do you see on that page?
2) If heartbeat logs activity, it is saved in the database table "heartbeat_activity" . Is it empty and if not, what's in it?
3) Which system do you use to log heartbeat activity? You have basically two concepts: rules or custom by addressing the API functions. If you use rules, like most people do, is the heartbeat_rules and heartbeat_defaults modules enabled (with its dependency to rules) ?
4) Are your rules enabled and do they work (see the rules debug mode for this)

I think your problem will be fixed by asking yourself these questions. The module works and with its submodules enabled, it should work.
