Hi,
I would like to have this group moderated: https://groups.drupal.org/rockland-county-ny
We also have a Meetup page, it can be found here: http://www.meetup.com/Rockland-County-NY-Drupal-Meetup/
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
Thanks,
Paola G.

sreynen CreditAttribution: sreynen as a volunteer commentedThere are currently only 2 members in the group, and the location is close to existing groups, most notably https://groups.drupal.org/nyc, so you should be able to find more members in the nearby groups if there's a real demand for this new group.
Until that happens, I'm -1 on this.

apadernoI agree with sreynen.
lizzjoyI respectfully disagree.
This group should be approved because it is very likely that people living in Rockland County will find it hard to make regular NYC meetings. And I don't imagine seeing a Rockland County meeting location posted into the NYC group. I say this as a former resident of the area.
apadernoYet, there are just two members, so far.

paogarciac CreditAttribution: paogarciac as a volunteer commentedI am willing to put my efforts into getting more people to join if this group gets approved (gives me more credibility)!
Also it is true, being a Rockland County resident, I rather not commute to NYC for meetups and/or events (it's quite a ride!).

paogarciac CreditAttribution: paogarciac as a volunteer commentedI would like to revive this idea and push for this group to be approved. It's been a few years, but the interest in Drupal in Rockland County, NY has grown.

apadernoAs I can see, the Add to Moderation Queue flag is not selected, which means the group is already approved. Feel free to re-open this if the group still have the restrictions a group in the moderation queue has.
Membership requests for that group are moderated, which means they are going to be approved. If there is the need of more users approving them, let me know.
