Categorization of referrers such as social media or search

Thanks for this nifty module! Would you know of a way, using GAF, to categorize social media and search referrers? A GAF "type"? Listing referrers is great but many end-users are now looking for a way of listing social media or search results separately, to be able to sort by, or even being able to easily identify "Facebook" or "Google Search" in a report (say, with icons). I guess this could be handled in views via filters by checking for Facebook.com or Google.com in the url, and say some theming, but I was wondering if there might be a tidier way of handling this. Just thought of this, but being able to identify (define as a type) "direct" or "internal" would be great too.
