Offering to co-maintain Global Redirect

Sorry I didn't respond to that email. I don't recall ever receiving it...

I'm happy to have a co-maintainer and I agree the project is a little stalled, however I should have time to help out in the near future.

What would be really useful is knowing exactly what is tested and RTBC as the "edge cases" (from my perspective) of things like multilingual and URL rewriting related issues are ones I find it very difficult to test as I don't have a "real use case" to try it on.

Bumping this because of the SA. A new official release is sorely needed. I have a site using it in production, and it's fine. If colan is not still interested, I am - currently, just to create that release, and maybe passively commit tested patches. Not interested in actively developing the module - but I figure something is better than nothing. I have module maintenance experience. I'll email the maintainer.

Bumping this issue again as there hasn't been any 7.x or 6.x progress in the last year.

There are 4 RTBC'd issues (2 major) for 7.x. We've been running #1477200: The destination parameter gets blown away and #2013785: Redirect loop occurs when visiting a directory with deslash enabled. in production for a while, and I'd like to see these get committed.

I'm willing to help out as co-maintainer for 6.x and 7.x if you don't have time at the moment. I can probably commit a couple of hours a week to reviewing and committing patches.

I'm offering to help with the D7 branch as well. If someone can add me as co-maintainer, I'd be happy to help create a new release.

I'm bumping this issue and raising the priority to match priority of some of the RTBC issues that are awaiting a release.

I'm available to act as D7 branch maintainer if that would be helpful.

+1 for a new release, there are like 20 issues RTBC for some time now. This could use some love :)

This issue is pending since long time as there is no response from module owner. Moving it to project ownership issue queue.

@colan although there is ongoing work to merge Global Redirect and Redirect modules, that issue has been in-progress for 7 years and is not yet complete.

There are a number of critical and major-priority issues which have been resolved in the issue queue but have remained unmerged for many years in some cases, with the last stable release being nearly 5 years ago.

Given that (as of 26th February) there are 179,529 installs of the Drupal 7 version of this module I would say there is still a need for maintenance on this module in the meantime.

At the very least we need to get some of the more critical issues tested and committed so that we can get a new stable release out for D7, which i'm happy to help with.

I've already added th_tushar as co-maintainer and have also reached out to Baris and asked if he still wants to help out, too.

@th_tushar Please honor the fact that this project has been deprecated for D8. Thanks.

Hi all. Recently I committed som RTBC bugs, but there a still few that needs eyeballs. Also, I'd love to release a 7.x-1.6 version ASAP.
