RdeBoerHave implemented this. Checked in and available in dev snapshot.
It is a new tick box when you select "Global Filter..." on the "Provide default value" drop-down on the contextual filter panel "WHEN THE FILTER VALUE IS NOT IN THE URL"
However after all that it turns out there is a bug in Views, which I've just re-opened. See #1433622: Contextual filter AND (,) operator for multiple values does not work.

MLZRHi Rik,
Great!!
The project where I need this for was delayed. And now I pick this project up again and was running in the same problems as before.
Bud I see you spend time om it, thanks.
I Will install the 1.12 and report you.

RdeBoerCool but see the Views issue linked above. Until that is fixed it is still kaput...

MLZRmmmm ... that's too bad.
Your module solves, I think, though lot of problems for manny website builders. This issue, i think, is holding down the use of this module and takes a lot of time when you run into it; to find out that it does not work :-(.
How can we get some attrention to this issue 1433622 ?
Can you think there is a workarround?
En we kunnen in het Nederlands schrijven?! ;-)

MLZRHi Rik,
Look at this
https://www.drupal.org/project/views_contextual_filters_or
Is this THE solution for the views problem?!
RdeBoerHi Marchello,
Could well be! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Have you tried it in combination with Views Global Filter? If it works I'll refer to it from the Views Global Filter README and the filter configuration panel.

MLZRI skipped the functionality where I was using your module, while it was not working for me. I planned it as a 'future planning'. So I will look at it, bud not on the very short therm. If you have the time; (probably not :-) ) your welcome to look if this works.
