The module is already D9 compatible:

We just need to indicate that also in the gitinfo.info.yml file with:

core_version_requirement: ^8 || ^9

We could commit this because there is an official change record:
New 'core_version_requirement' key in info.yml files for modules and themes allows Composer semantic version constraints including specifying multiple major versions of core | Drupal.org
