Overview

Provides geographical location for Drupal log event's hostname (Recent log messages and
Recent hits) and whois lookup for hostname using any free external site offering whois
service of your choice (like http://whois.sc or http://whois.domaintools.com). This module uses the
IP to geographical location (longitude/latitude), country, region, city and postal code
capability of Smart IP.

Requirements:

Installation:

  1. Copy the extracted geolocate_logs directory to your Drupal sites/all/modules directory.
  2. Login as an administrator. Enable the module at http://www.example.com/?q=admin/modules as well as the Statistics, Database logging and Smart IP modules.
  3. Set your desired external site whois service at http://www.example.com/?q=admin/config/people/smart_ip
  4. Browse your Drupal Recent log messages at http://www.example.com/?q=admin/reports/dblog or Recent hits at http://www.example.com/?q=admin/reports/hits
