Unknown column 'f.field_geo_srid'

When I try to update from 7.x-1.2 to any version 7.x-2.0-beta1 or later, I get the following error:

Failed: PDOException: SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'f.field_geo_srid' in 'field list': SELECT f.field_geo_srid AS field_geo_srid, f.entity_type AS entity_type, f.bundle AS bundle, f.entity_id AS entity_id FROM {field_data_field_geo} f; Array ( ) in geofield_update_7100() (line 122 of [path]/sites/all/modules/geofield-2.0/geofield.install).

I don't find any documentation saying that I should uninstall version 1 and do a clean reinstall of 2, but that's what I'll try next if there's not a better solution. Thank you in advance.
