Publish to NPM [#3203839]

Problem/Motivation

While it will be a little silly to publish early versions of this package to NPM, allowing developers to experiment with the intended workflow will be useful.

Proposed resolution

* Publish package on NPM, possibly via an @gdwc organization
* Provide examples in the readme of different import approaches, ideally with live examples on codepen.

Remaining tasks

* Create NPM organization
* Publish to NPM
* Add import examples to readme.
* Create example codepens.
