g2 8.x-1.x-dev

Bug fixes
New features

Work in progress. All hands welcome :-)

Currently dev version adds misc quality improvements over beta1 but no radical changes.

  • 2023-07-04: Drupal 10/9 port is now feature-complete with beta1
  • 2023-07-03 : Alpha2 release adds 15-years-in-the-making automatic definitions tagging
  • 2023-06-25: Alpha1 working release, 18 years after the module inception
  • 2023-05-25: development has resumed due to actual project needs

g2 5.x-1.2

Bug fixes

This is the final release of G2 Glossary for Drupal 5. It includes all changes in earlier versions of the 5.x-1.x branch and is equivalent to the head of that branch.

As such, it is a production-ready as one can get on Drupal 5, since Drupal 5 itself is no longer supported.

If you still have to use Drupal 5, this is the version you want, until you upgrade to Drupal 6 or 7.

g2 6.x-1.1-alpha1

New features
Bug fixes

Changes since 6.x-1.0

- G2 main page can now be generated by a PHP function in module code instead of only a node
- DFN-generated links now carry a g2-dfn-link CSS class for easier theming
- Views integration
- Hover tips on DFN links to local glossaries
- RSS feeds are now generated using theme('feed_icon') instead of theme('xml_icon')

g2 7.x-1.x-dev

New features

Drupal 7 port from the latest D6 dev version.

Workable since 2011-01-23, but not stable: this really /is/ a development version.

g2 4.7.x-1.1

New features

Final version for the Drupal 4.7 branch.

Equivalent to the latest dev version in that branch. No new features or bugs discovered.

g2 5.x-1.1

Security update

Final version for the Drupal 5 branch.

Equivalent to the latest dev version in that branch. No new features or bugs discovered.

g2 6.x-1.0

Security update

This is the first stable version of G2 for Drupal 6.x.

It includes several security fixes over the pre-release -dev version, as well as a new XML-RPC client demo.

However, the -dev branch is quite stable and should be preferred in most cases.

g2 6.x-1.x-dev

New features

This is the dev version for the Drupal 6 branch. Given the age of the module, this is the preferred version, although it occasionally receives fixes and/or improvements.

In most cases, you should probably use it instead of 6.1.0.

g2 5.x-1.x-dev

This release is only an interim version, which received limited testing.

It is not (repeat: NOT) supported, and should only be used as a means of upgrading from 4.7 to 6.x. One feature (per node referer count) has actually been removed when compared with the 4.7 branch.

g2 HEAD

UNSTABLE VERSION. Not built from recent files version.

DO NOT USE. Use the 4.7.x-1.1 version instead.

g2 4.7.x-1.x-dev

This developer version is compatible with Drupal 4.7.x official releases. It incorporates the latest changes and should generally work. However, for a production-level version with commercial support, use 4.7.x-1.0 instead.
