I have tried to set up fuzzysearch on a D7 site, but have questions. I followed the instruction successfully up thru "The default settings should be fine."

  1. "Go to the main Search API page, click Search Pages": there is no tab or link to do this. How do I find or activate it?
  2. Do I have to disable core search? If so, where do I find the proper search box to replace it? Or does fuzzysearch use that box?
  3. When I search on my site for "lesbian" it still cannot find "lesbians" for example, even after re-indexing by running cron.

I've tried to find answers in the existing documentation, but it is still unclear, and I am a bit new to Drupal.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the link, I've now installed the module you suggested.
So I followed your directions in detail, and am still confused as to why it is not working. Am also getting the SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'percent' in 'order clause' error, could that have something to do with it?

Can you explain what's not working?

I created the server and index, and in the 'Status' tab I clicked the 'Index now' button. I also ran cron to make sure the site was indexed.
I created the search page and the search view page.
But when I search for anything on the site, nothing comes up. I even cleared the cache.

I have applied patch #1 but not #4 for the SQL issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

==UPDATE==
I re-created the server, index, search page and search view page, in case I'd done something wrong, but while the view will show everything, when I search for a known item, such as the word 'song' or 'spirit', nothing comes up.

Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am postponing this issue until a related issue with Search API gets fixed.
I need to disable all related modules in order to get cron to run.

Gave up, will wait for a full release version. Using Porter Stemmer module instead.
