Hi, i have just installed "front_page" module in the Drupal v-8.2.6. Based on the number of roles the "front page for --role name--" is got listed and the problem is the role name is displayed as "!ROLENAME". Here i have 4 roles in my drupal 8 instance.

Hi, this was already fixed in the dev version. I just launch a new release (alpha2) with this commit to avoid confusions.
