This is no documentation, I couldn't find it in admin area either.

nedjoI added some basic instructions to the project description:
Does this help?

Rory-- CreditAttribution: Rory-- commentedCan I prepopulate fields in the block based on the page it's on?
Usage: if I have a block that appears for node content, can I have it automatically fill out a "related node" form (a la CCK) with the number of the node that the block's on?
nedjoIn a word, no. You could open a new feature request issue, but I'm not sure if it really fits with the (very limited) scope of the module.

Could it be possible to HIDE certain fields from the block, for ease-of-use, but to still have them fillable?
nedjoNo, what you're asking for is not part of this module.
See these two modules, which you might be able to use in combination with Form Block:
http://drupal.org/project/auto_nodetitle
http://drupal.org/project/formfilter
Once again, please open new issues when you have new issues to raise.

Please review and comment.

dbkern CreditAttribution: dbkern commentedPlease add to the documentation the need to change permissions. I originally looked for a permission for the block form. There isn't one. It took me a while to realize that I had to change the permission for the content type. Once I did that, it worked great. It appears other people are having this difficulty as well.

Completely new to this module, so I think I'm in a rather good position to evaluate the documentation from a newbie's perspective. In short: after having read it multiple times it still seems very lacking.
The basic question: How on earth do I get started? All I want is to insert the user registration form in a block and expose it through a panel pane. 1) Do I have to create a new content type for that? 2) If so, how do I get about connecting the form to this content type? 3) And how, eventually, do I expose it though a panel pane?
I'm sure it's easy if you know the logic behind. I will be willing to update the documentation when I find (read: get) the answers!
:-)
Best,
Thomas

nedjo@firfin: thanks for your documentation help. I've adapted it to add to the project page.
@dbkern: thanks for the note about permissions, added.
@thomas1977: Does the project page now cover it?
From there we could move documentation into the README file.
