Delay after first click through

After the page loads and I mouseover the slide and click on one of the arrows, the appropriate slide comes up. However, if I click on an arrow again, nothing happens. It takes about five seconds after the first click (and only the first click) before the click functionality returns. However, I can use the arrow keys to navigate through the slides during this delay.

It seems to be similar to the issue that was raised in this issue. But the issue that it is supposedly a duplicate of is not at all the same problem.

Paging Controls are on and I am using Next/Previous Controls and Keyboard Navigation. In Advanced Options I have the Initialize Delay set to 0.
