Flexslider/Browser not clearing cache or responding to "no-cache"

I use Flexslider to deliver revolving responsive images on a weather page (GIF & JPG) all of a set size. GIF are animated.
When I clear cache, clear image cache and even hit REFRESH on my browser I am getting expired images. All other items on the page respond correctly to no-cache, just not the Flexsider module. The only way to get new images is to manually clear the browser cache. Sounds like a Flexsider/Google/IE incompatibility.
