Where does the ID value come from? Is there a UI for it or just an API change?

Also, for your patch, be sure the base path is in the flexslider module directory. Not in /modules/contrib/

I've added the check for the ID. I've also added an option in FlexSlider Views to set the ID through the UI.

I'll so something similar for FlexSlider Fields.
