Flexi Login allows users to use a flexible identifier to be recognized during login. This identifier can be either their Drupal username, the e-mail associated with that username, or the telephone number associated with that username. As always, the correct password or passphrase associated with the username is required to login.

Requirements

  • Phonefield:
Provides a field type to hold phone numbers.

Recommended modules

Installation

Install as you would normally install a contributed drupal module. See: Installing modules for further information.

Configuration

Enabling the module will changes login processing to allow the user to identify using either a username, an e-mail address, or a phone number. Disabling the module reverts to default behavior.

Bug reports, support requests, patches

Post bug reports, support requests, patches and reports about related/incompatible modules to the project's issue queue.

The aim of this project is to have a simple and lightweight module with no administrative interface that allows users more flexibility when logging in. New features will not be added unless there is a really good use case for the request.

Help with development from the community (e.g. patches, reviews, bug reports) are welcome.

Related modules

  • Email registration: Allow users to register and login using only an e-mail address.
  • LoginToboggan: Allow users to login using either their username or their e-mail address and other features listed on its project page.

These modules are similar to Flexi Login as they allow users to login with an e-mail address instead of, or in addition to their username. None of them allow the use of a mobile phone number as identifier.

Please note this project is incompatible with these related modules (and probably all modules that alters the login form in some way). You need to disable all other login-modules before you install Flexi Login.

If you know about other modules that should be listed as related and/or incompatible, please let me know.
