You offer 9 choices of voting icons, but none of them seem to look sharp on a retina display - am I missing something? Also all of the icons are too small and too close together for touchscreen use. Maybe one of the 9 choices could have a more spacious layout.

Until these get upgraded, which I think is badly needed, is there anyway to implement replacements without hacking the module files?

Its fine to hack the 5* contributed module files. Thats the beauty of open-source code. The full benefits of being part of the open-source Community are realized when such nice solutions are shared. So please DO submit back your hack here as a patch.
