I'm using the 3.5 version with the same issue.

I have also Link module (6002) and Services module (6003) to update. Maybe the problem is with one of them?

I haven't gotten any confirming reports of this problem after the 3.5 version was released.

i'm now using the 3.7 one ..and the problem is still there... maybe i have any problem in the database structure... can you tell me
how must i have the filefield tables ,or other things (like the reference to the database version number for updates) or anything that i can check (about this module or may other) ???

Thanks for your support!!!

Edit: What info can I provide to find better the answer?

I had the same problem. I had to totally restore my files and database after this.

Perhaps everyone has simply upgraded at this point, but I didn't receive any other reports of this problem after 3.5 was released. If I can get instructions to reproduce this from a fresh install on a previous version of FileField, then upgrading to the most recent version of FileField, I'll have a look, but I know for most people they don't care about the problem after they've solved it on their own sites, so that seems unlikely.

I installed the getid3 library and then installed filefield meta and ran update again, and it worked, giving message: The following queries were executed
filefield_meta module
Update #6100
No queries
