Field validation 8.x-1.0-alpha5 and 8.x-1.x-dev on Drupal 8.3.6 work incorrectly.
1) There isn't message about dependencies (Ctools and Entity API) during the installation.
2) The module crashes website (message "The website encountered an unexpected error.") instead normal message then field value isn't valid.

I have test it with Drupal 8.3.6, it works correctly for devel version.

I am not sure if it is ok as a none module maintainer to change the status to closed (can not reproduce)?
I have a testet on ver 8.6.1 and could not find the bugs mentioned.
1) dependencies not necessary in 8.6.1
2) No crashes in 8.6.1
