This is the first full release of Field Permissions. Since RC2 has been in use for 2 years, it seems like its RC ready. The only changes between RC2 and 1.0 is Drupal 9 readiness.
Changes since 8.x-1.0-rc2:
Issue #3042752 by japerry: Followup: Remove core key from permissions test.
Issue #3042752 by JeroenT, -enzo-, japerry, xeM8VfDh, Snehal Brahmbhatt, dhirendra.mishra, heddn: Drupal 9 Deprecated Code Report
Full release of Field Permissions is finally here for Drupal 7. Changes since beta-2 are minimal, mostly small bug fixes. Given that's all that we've accumulated over the nearly 5 years since a release, it feels safe enough to go for full-module status.
Issue #1321050 by fangel, David_Rothstein, Rob Loach | thekevinday: Additional safe-guard for entities other than nodes when it comes to entity ownership.
Field Permissions 7.x-1.0-beta1 comes with an entirely new user interface, passing SimpleTests, additional documentation and a slew of bug fixes. When upgrading, be sure to run your update.php. Special thanks for this release go to David Rothstein, Jeff Noyes, Stellina McKinney and Gabor Hojtsy, all of who put a huge amount of love and care into the module.
First alpha release of the Field Permissions module. This is an alpha release to get some feedback. Please get involved in the issue queue if you notice any bugs...
First beta release for the Field Permissions module.
If you were running the -dev version, then please visit update.php. The field settings have been changed to provide more granularity, and a new option for "Create field" permission has been added. See the screenshot on the project page.
