Processor setting "update existing content" [#3072546]

When I add a Feeds Migrate Importer (see screenshot) and select option "update existing content" I get error message "The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later." on url for migration group /admin/structure/migrate/manage/feeds_migrations/migrations.

When I select an option "Update existing content" and there are actual changes in the source no changes are imported.

When I select an option "Do not update existing content" importer works as expected.

Irina,

In your demo site, I was able to edit the article feeds migrate importer to select "Update existing content" and it saved successfully. I clicked the "Import" button for the article feeds migrate importer and it runs successfully, but the notification message is "No items processed."

Were you seeing the "The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later." message when saving the article feeds migrate importer or when running Import?

This message was appearing on url of migration group that we set for feeds migration and I still see it on my local install /admin/structure/migrate/manage/feeds_migrations/migrations and I see same error on other test instance. Report says
Recoverable fatal error: Object of class Drupal\migrate\Plugin\Migration could not be converted to string in Drupal\feeds_migrate\FeedsMigrateExecutable->__construct() (line 120 of /srv/bindings/3ed898f634fe4191b8adbc4b9c3f20cd/code/modules/feeds_migrate/src/FeedsMigrateExecutable.php) #0
I am not sure if this depends on how we do mapping.
