I am trying to follow the standards of other distributions by creating a "Base Feature" using the 7.x-2.x Dev

This base feature contains all of the modules that are required for the functionality.

I then create other features that require the "base" feature.

So for example I have a base feature that has a dependency on Context, Date, and Entityreference.

On my second feature I select the dependency of the "base" feature.

My second feature now shows it as overridden because it is adding the dependency of Context, Date, Entityreference etc..
