Port Link Plugin to D7 using Media [#1971890]

Actually link plugin uses old modules Emvideo and Emaudio to attach links to a status and on D7 it doesn't work. I'm attaching a patch that is a first effort to using Media instead Emvideo and use Media providers like Youtube, Vimeo, etc. Still needs to much work. So let's work. Thanks

Nice work,
I don't now Media API very well, but I'd love to collaborate in the growth of the module.
However, the videos are not properly resized.

The patch is working, but i get the following error.

Notice: Undefined index: media_valid in theme_fbsmp_link_url() (line 618 of fbsmp/plugins/link.inc).

Any ideas?

I don't see any configuration options related to emfield in link plugin for D7 version. Used to work for D6. Is there anything I am missing in installation ? Youtube Videos e.g. does not display in link module...
