In the first page of the settings appears "Facebook application id: ".
I don't understand why simply Like button installation needs an FB application ID ?
Could yu confirm me this information?

I configure the "Like settings" a white space appears on my node links but nothing else.

It will probably work without an app id. You may not get the comment popup as explained in the FAQ

This worked ok for me even without an app id, including the comment popup, after I enabled fb_like for the appropriate content types.
