Cannot post to newly created facebook pages in v2.4+ of the API [#2532080]

This module works great and I've used it successfully on other projects. However I've just created a new facebook app and the API version is fixed to v2.4. Although I can still post to a user's wall, I cannot post to pages related to the new app. When I goto admin/config/services/fbautopost in the facebook page information section I can only see pages that are less than v2.4.

What's involved in getting this to work with the latest v2.4 api?

I am assuming that updating to the latest Facebook PHP SDK did not solve the problem, right?

If you download the latest SDK you will get
Facebook PHP SDK
The Facebook PHP SDK library has not been installed. Please clone the git repository or download the library in the common library paths from hier.

Because they changed the file structure

i can post to pages. i had the problem that i had to unset all old legacy permissions and also RESAVE my field in rules. the one where i select the page
