Not sure if the development group is aware of this, but there's a project developing open source cultivation instructions for various crops. This might be an opportunity for an interesting module that would integrate data from OpenFarm with farmOS. Imagine pulling crop cultivation instructions from the OpenFarm database when a user adds a new crop to farmOS. OpenFarm is still in its infancy but an interesting thought. Also having integrated crop growing instructions might be a unique feature that could promote adoption of farmOS. Not sure if there are any farm management apps out there with that kind of knowledge base built in.

Yes! I actually initiated a thread to discuss this possibility in their issue queue: https://github.com/openfarmcc/OpenFarm/issues/708

This lead to some good discussion about making a cross-platform crop definition format (you can follow the links in that issue to go down that rabbit hole if you want).

Ultimately I've been distracted/busy with other features, but still see this as a good future direction! Any potential for working together is a good thing in my book. :-)

Version: 8.x-2.x-dev » 7.x-1.x-dev

Reorganizing issues ahead of assembling the new farmOS 2.x roadmap (#3092830: [META] farmOS 2.x Roadmap). Moving all feature requests back to the 7.x-1.x branch in the meantime for consistency - to be moved back once we are further into the 2.x dev process.

Cleaning up old issues - I'm going to close this as "outdated". If anyone wants to work on the integration in the future, feel free to reopen (or start a new one)! Could also be worth starting a discussion on the farmOS forum first: https://farmOS.discourse.group
