Similar to the way the facet generator works, it would be great if there was a way of generating some basic views from given feeds to give users a good basis for customisation. I think something to help users build their first view and customise it would help with the uptake of the module.

In its most basic form, it could see what fields were available in the feed and create a tabular view based off of that. Beyond that it could offer different view types that you could add in (e.g. list, map, timeline, etc).

Thanks for this Dan. I agree this is a much needed piece and there's been several discussions about the best way to approach it.

A generator similar to the Facet generator would work, although looking back I don't think that solution is ideal. Something more along the lines of how the Views UI works would probably be best so that we can abstract away the underlying code required to build the Exhibits and of course allow it to be opened up if needed for finer grain control.

This is on my to do list.
