Can't figure out how to contribute the Spanish Translation 6.x

I already went to the project's page, subscribed there and in the group they requested, I also tried to figure out how to submit a correction without uploading .po files but I couldn't. My interest in avoiding uploading .po files is the way the have it structured and I don't have CVS to reach the project.
So, I e-mail one of the administrators and there was no answer...
Now seeing the project's issues I see them all active since one year ago!!
And the same issue still coming up in the 6.x-dev version.
So... What's going on with these guys?!
I would like to contribute (this year preferably).
Spanish is my first tongue, I speak a very standard Spanish (no dialect, no jargon, no localized)
so... why not helping make the project move on a little?

More over, JQuery keep giving me errors when trying to interact with the interface:
