Working in distributed teams, I often have to ask the other developers which revision of the branch their environments are on.

The small patch attached adds the short revision to the indicator.

I'd like to see this as a less intrusive solution. This seems to me to be cluttering the indicator.

Maybe a tooltip on the branch name?
