I went ahead and copied the enews.tpl.php into my theme directory. Drupal started using the template, but then stopped displaying any of the CSS associated with the theme or the node type. I tried enabling templates under "Advanced" and filling in rules in "Newsletter template CSS: " and it still didn't work. When I write CSS manually into the template, it's completely ignored by emogrifier. Am I missing something?

Thank you for the report! I did not have any success reproducing the bug in zen or garland, but perhaps more information will help.

  1. Can you confirm that the module was working as expected prior to copying enews.tpl.php to the theme directory?
  2. Have you tried adding a check next to all of the style sheets available in your theme?
  3. Have you tried adding style sheets to the template using the "Include additional stylesheets for this newsletter:" field?
  4. I was able to successfully add css rules through the "Newsletter template CSS" field. Is there a WYSIWYG on that field that is wrapping your css in HTML?

Please note that CSS declarations in the template head tags will not be emogrified.

Wow... I can't believe I missed that. Apparently I downloaded emogrifier and then just installed it wrong. Totally my fault. Thanks for the response!
