im trying to set up eck with viewmodes but the output completely ignores any viewmodes settings i make. i've tried two different ways to output eck entity with viewmode.

1. setting viewmode from an entityreference in another entity.
2. setting viewmode in views.

neither work.

setting to major because eck entities do not have same beahviour as the default node entities (which work ok).
