Release notes

Maintenance and security release of the Drupal 7 series.

This release fixes security vulnerabilities. Sites are urged to upgrade immediately after reading the notes below and the security announcement:

No other fixes are included.

No changes have been made to the .htaccess, web.config, robots.txt or default settings.php files in this release, so upgrading custom versions of those files is not necessary.

Known issues:

There are no known regressions in this release.

Known issues from previous releases:

Drupal 7.51 causes drag-and-drop functionality in Drupal to stop working for certain Chrome, Internet Explorer 11 and Edge users on sites which updated to a jQuery version between 1.7 and 1.11.0 (for example as obtained via the jQuery Update module). See the issue for more details. To solve this problem, update to Drupal 7.53. (Switching to a different jQuery version will also fix the problem.)
