GUI for block visibility per content type

I was noticing on the contrib module called Service Links that there is a neat setting for the module's block visibility per content type.

We've all written custom snippets for block visibility by content type, but maybe D7 could learn a thing or two from that method. It would be nice to have a GUI for visibility by content type much like the visibility by role. And when I say "learn a thing or two" I really mean "steal some lines of code from" Service Links to get started.

The less code users and admins have to write the better, I think.
