Problem/Motivation

Based on agreement from the current active contributors of the initiative and project lead Dries Buytaert, the Workflow Initiative just moved to a community initiative (https://www.drupal.org/community-initiatives/workflow-in-core-initiative). It was also confirmed with the listed initiative lead from MAINTAINERS.txt that he does not have availability anymore to lead the initiative.

Proposed resolution

Since its a community initiative now with all its components already in core (with their respective maintainers), we should remove the initiative entry.

Remaining tasks

Get signoff from the initiative lead.

While it's not completely done yet, a lot of long-standing core issues got fixed, and workspaces is very close to stable.
